Princess Party Planning

So over the past couple months MJ has been into everything princess, so I asked her what kind of birthday party she wanted and of course she said "Princess!" So I got to searching... So i started at my favorite site Pinterest.

Definitely making this!

This is a cute idea!

Not sure about these cupcakes they might be to much for a beginner like me.

 This is what she wants.

This is what I really want to do, but she'll probably get the princess cake.

About Me

Past

I'm a 29 year old mom to one, an she is 2 1/2 years old. I am happily married to my high school sweetheart for six years now.

My career in Early Childhood Education/ childcare began in 2006, where I was a infant toddler teacher for about two years. after which I tried to make a move that just didn't work out. So that puts me at my last job before I became a SAHM or work from home. At this point in my life things were o.k. , I loved my co-workers, and the children and parents that I was taking care of. But i fall 2009 we found out we were expecting our first child.

Becoming a SAHM

Even before we started planning to have a child it was brought up a couple of times by the both of us about me staying home once we started having children. But once we found out, we worked towards making that a possibility. And in April 2010 MJ was born (girl). Well do to the fact that I was working at a daycare me taking MJ with me to work made it a little easier to hold off on me staying at home. This lasted about a year, in fall 2011 I was finally able to stay at home. I LOVE being a SAHM!!!! Maybe a month after being home, a friend was in need of childcare of her four month old, so I began watching him. This gave me an ideas for extra income to watch children of family and friends. So i put the word out there.

Fast-forward about six months later and MJ is turning 2 and....

S.N.
Being a SAHM takes a certain person, and by no means is it a easy job. You have to be mentally strong, and emotionally strong to deal being at home, not having to rush here and there, I think it actually slows you down a sec from the rush of the world.

I was asked if I wanted to take on any more children.(one day owner/open my center) Keeping this in mind  I said yes. In April of 2012 I began watching a brother and sister. So that would make four. And in August the current family recommended me to a friend and that's when i got my last child. So I now have five children in my care including my own. So there is the story, my life where I stand today.

Weekend, Healthy Hair care

My weekend was a lazy. We sat around and played all day till baby girl went to Nonna's house. We enjoyed a movie, watched the game ( Go UK!!), had some drinks and listen to music.

Sunday got to sleep in a little, ate brunch and went back to sleep. Now sitting here watching the NFL game, while baby girl paints.

This is random but there has been this BIG movement, about having healthy hair. Well I've been on my journey for a year and three month, check out my story/progress!

What I watched last night

Ok, this what I watched last night TLC's "Sisterhood" about preacher's wives in Atlanta,GA. I missed the first episode, but for some reason I can't get this out of my mind. Maybe it's because I've met and worshiped with one of these ladies and just pure shock that they did a reality TV show. Or is it my small fascination with reality TV? Definitely will be watching to see what direction they go with the show.

Girls vs. Boys

OK, so recently I've have really been noticing the difference between boys and girls. I take care of four other children in my home as well as my own totaling to five children. (i say take care of because we are like family) Their ages range from 1-3 years old, three boys, two girls, and the youngest is not yet walking.
I write this as I hold her sleep in my arms.

What I have observed:

                Girls
  • seem to talk earlier
  • faster to potty train
  • gentle play
  • they listen
  • social
  • likes one-on-one time
  • helpers
             Boys
  • talk later
  • move earlier
  • rough play
  • dare devils
  • does not like one-on-one
've worked with both before, but wasn't till that I really see the differences.

2013

In 2013 I'm expecting GOD to do more than I even asked for. That sounds like a good statement right? This is easier said than doing, and this is my struggle. On the outside I might seem put together, nothing bothers me or I can handle stress. This for me this has been a struggle so that being said here's how I'm handling it.

So I found this : Applying Faith
